Giraffe Reflex Hammer
Objective: A large pharmaceutical company wanted to create awareness about a new drug they were launching.

Challenge: The marketing department wanted to create a functional yet fun premium showcasing their new drug. It would be given to pediatric doctors to use with their patients. They also wanted to create an item that would have a unique design appealing to both the kids and their parents.

Solution: The Plastic Premium Access custom creative team developed a unique reflex hammer in the shape of a cute giraffe. The handle was designed for easy gripping. It also had a wide printing surface to prominently display the company’s new drug logo. The top of the hammer was innovatively designed to resemble the giraffe’s head, while the body was creatively decorated to look like the hide of a giraffe. The entire hammer was made out of PVC material, well known for not only its durability, but its compliance with child safety regulations as well.

Success: The giraffe reflex hammer was an extremely successful promotion. This purposeful, fun and well-designed reflex hammer was the perfect tool for pediatric doctors to use with their patients. The pharmaceutical company was pleased with their creative staff, their suppliers, and the promotion they had generated. Their marketing goals to create a fun and unique item, while at the same time achieving a heightened awareness to their new drug, was outstandingly achieved.

Oreo Cookie Jar
Objective: Kraft wanted to offer a custom premium to award 500 random winners who logged onto the Kraft Oreo website to create a new Oreo Jingle.

Challenge: Kraft wanted to create a unique custom cookie jar to play off of the success of its number one selling cookie in America, “Oreo”. The idea was to create a cookie jar that featured the time honored milk and cookie combo, all while relating it to the winning jingle writers. It was very important the cookie jar meet all FDA requirements for direct food content. It also needed to be highly decorated and large enough to hold more than a package of Oreos inside.

Solution: The Plastic Premium Access custom creative team developed a totally unique ceramic cookie jar featuring the Oreo “milk and cookie” theme. This limited edition 12” cookie jar had a lid designed to look like a large Oreo cookie being dunked into a splash of milk. The cookie jar was meticulously hand painted to show the important details of the legendary Oreo cookie. PPA’s extensive experience with testing and factory requirements allowed them to produce a special premium that completely satisfied all Kraft’s regulations as well.

Success: The Oreo "milk and cookies" ceramic cookie jar proved to be a successful, functional and creative premium that guaranteed the winners familiarity with the Oreo cookie brand name for years to come. It also served as a rewarding keepsake for all of the contestants that who put forth the time and effort to create a new Oreo cookie jingle. Now the one and only O-R-E-O has a collector’s edition cookie jar to match its exclusive brand - what a classic combination and a winning promotion!

Ceramic Bank Monkey
Objective: A popular children’s museum wanted to generate sales by drawing attention to their new exhibit. They also wanted to thank the new families for their memberships.

Challenge: The museum wanted to create a premium that would highlight one of their new exhibits…monkeys! They also wanted to stick with a premium that would uphold imagination, curiosity and questioning amongst all children.

Solution: The creative PPA team decided to develop a custom ceramic monkey bank that would spark the imagination of many children, while giving them a fun and unique place to save their pennies. This premium would also help to generate buzz about the children museum’s new monkey exhibit, as well as reward the families for their continued family membership support.

Success: The custom ceramic monkey bank was a successful high-end premium that was given away to the new family memberships at the opening of the fresh exotic frog exhibit. Well received by the museum families, the unique ceramic monkey bank heightened the attention of the museum’s new exhibit, drew in increased ticket sales, and created a way for the museum to thank the new families for their membership.

Ghost Wind Up
Objective: A large theme park wanted to increase ticket sales by creating a premium that highlighted their Halloween festivities. They also wanted to produce a fun premium item that would reward their season pass ticket holders.

Challenge: To design a Halloween themed premium that would be fun and entertaining for various ages. They wanted the item to be small enough to receive in the mail when season pass ticket holders registered online.

Solution: The creative team at PPA developed a custom PVC ghost shaped wind up to generate buzz about the theme parks Halloween festivities. This unique premium was designed to create excitement for the theme parks loyal season pass ticket holders, all while increasing ticket sales overall.

Success: The custom PVC ghost wind up proved to be a successful and fun item that was offered as a direct marketing approach to patrons ordering season pass tickets online. The theme park found it to be the perfect premium to reward their faithful fans and to help drive the sales of season pass tickets.

Gorton’s Bank
Objective: Gorton’s® wanted to offer a custom premium that would add value for consumers, increase grocery store sales and reward customers for their brand loyalty.

Challenge: Gorton’s wanted to offer a premium that would have the same quality, family and community appeal as their products. So, the PPA marketing team sat down to design a unique custom product that would represent these ideals.

Solution: With valuable insight from the creative marketing team, PPA developed a unique custom PVC Gorton’s Fisherman Bank. This intricate designed bank replicated the Gorton’s Fisherman icon to a tee. It was also a clever way to combine family and community values with the idea of a savings bank for kids.

Success: The Gorton’s PVC Bank was offered as a mail-in premium with the purchase of any 3 Gorton’s products. Well received by consumers, the Gorton’s Bank offered exceptional added value to the product, and continued to increase retail sales. Gorton’s found it to be the perfect premium to continue with their tradition of bringing the bounty of the sea to America’s families.

Pittsburgh Pirates Parrot Wobbilly
Objective: The Pittsburgh Pirates™ wanted to offer a custom premium to reward its game day patrons for their continued support throughout the years.

Challenge: With research in hand showing that baseball fans appreciate memorabilia of specific custom premiums, PPA set out to design a familiar, yet unique premium giveaway. The catch was to create a promotional item that would be appropriate and appealing to kids and adults alike.

Solution: PPA decided to develop a unique premium wobbilly that represented Pittsburgh’s mascot…The Pirate. The Pirate Mascot was creatively transformed into a custom wobbilly that was able to emulate all of the familiar characteristics of the team’s mascot. This premium targeted a broad market as it served as a suitable collector’s item for adults, or a fun wobbilly toy for kids.

Success: The Pittsburgh Pirates Parrot Wobbilly was an extremely successful game day give away premium. Well received by the fans, it served as a memorable toy and collector’s item for a variety of ages. The Pittsburgh Pirates found it to be the perfect premium to continue the ballpark spirit, all while driving Pittsburgh Pirate’s product and game day sales.

Microsoft Dinosaur Stapler Remover
Objective: Microsoft®, a quintessential powerhouse in the world of computer software, wanted to increase standard sales by handing out a fun premium item at a trade show.

Challenge: Microsoft wanted to create a premium that was completely unique, functional and enjoyable. They wanted the item to be small enough to be able to sit out on a desk in a computer atmosphere as well.

Solution: PPA developed a one of a kind custom dinosaur stapler remover that would grab the attention of many, all while bringing awareness and familiarity to the Microsoft brand.

Success: The custom dinosaur stapler remover proved to be a successful, functional and fun premium that Microsoft used as a trade show giveaway. Microsoft found this promotional item to be the perfect way to promote their brand, while helping to increase retail sales overall.

United Airlines Puzzle Cup
Objective: United® Airlines, one of the largest international carriers based in the United States, wanted to offer a custom premium item to reward their new frequent flyer members.

Challenge: United wanted to highlight their hub in Chicago-“The heart of the USA”. This ideal provided the grounds for the idea generation. They also wanted to present a premium that was different as well as functional.

Solution: PPA decided to develop a fun and interactive Puzzle cup to reward their new frequent flyer patrons. This interactive puzzle cup was designed with custom four-color process graphics that depicted the highlights of the city of Chicago, along with United’s central universal appeal.

Success: The United puzzle cup was a very successful premium. It took a direct marketing approach to new members of the United frequent fliers program signing up online. United was grateful a unique premium item like the puzzle cup was able to continue to drive their sales and keep their loyal patrons “Flying the friendly skies”.

Oscar Mayer® Weinermobile Key Chain
Objective: Oscar Mayer®, a leading food company in the United States, wanted to generate incremental grocery sales and reward their customers for their continued devotion.

Challenge: To create a key chain that would play off of the success of the iconic Weinermobile®. The idea was to replicate a miniature version of the popular 2004 Weinermoble, all while playing the classic American Weiner jingle. It was very important that the key chain be tested for full child safety regulations as well.

Solution: PPA developed a unique custom die cast Weinermobile key chain that resembled the famous trademarked Weinermobile. Designed with a custom sound bite that had speakers to play the iconic Weiner Jingle, this approach guaranteed customers familiarity with the Oscar Mayer brand name for years to come. And PPA’s extensive experience with testing and factory requirements allowed them to produce a premium that completely satisfied all child safety regulations.

Success: The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile was an extremely successful event give away item. It offered a great throw back to Oscar Mayer’s hot dogs-a classic American pastime for many.
